Chatty is designed as a precision AI study companion for students and researchers in Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, AI/ML, Cognitive Science, and related STEM disciplines.
2. Data Collection & Firebase Storage
- Account Credentials: When you sign in with your Google Account, we store your unique User ID (UID), display name, and email address to authenticate your session and sync your data.
- Study Conversations & Notes: Chat transcripts, formula inquiries, and practice problem sets are saved to Google Firebase Firestore under encrypted, user-isolated security rules (`request.auth.uid == userId`).
- Attachments & Papers: Documents uploaded for study analysis are processed transiently in memory for context ingestion.
- Zero Ad Tracking: We do NOT sell student data, do NOT use advertising trackers, and do NOT share personal information with third-party data brokers.
3. Generative AI Safety & Content Disclaimer
Chatty utilizes Google Gemini 3.7 Flash generative reasoning models. While designed for high accuracy in STEM problem solving:
- AI responses are intended for study assistance and conceptual exploration. Students must verify high-stakes examination answers and lab calculations with primary academic sources.
- You can report any inaccurate or inappropriate model response using the in-message report tool.
4. User Rights & Google Play Account Deletion
In full compliance with Google Play Store User Data policies, you hold full ownership of your data. You may:
- Delete individual chat sessions or all history directly from the sidebar.
- Permanently delete your account and wipe all stored cloud documents from your Profile Settings at any time with a single tap.
